If Scotland did achieve Independence, could it be any worse than it is now ?. When General Elections come around Scotland always votes Labour, so would it not be the case that an independent Scotland would want a socialist Government ?. Over half of the current Government’s Cabinet went to the same Eletist school !. How can we possibly expect a group of Etonion millionaires to give a damn about the ordinairy man/woman. Don’t get me wrong i would still be a little fearful of Scottish fat-cats duplicating the system that is already in place, but the Scots have always been a bit more rebellious than the English, and I would hope they wouldn’t allow this to happen. It might just happen because Cameron and his cronies are the, “Independence seekers,” dream team !.

Fairplay, look on the bright side, we could have cheaper diesel, yes we still have secret oil reserves, and a better standard of living,
We could also export some of our abundant water across the border at a cost of course to them, ( once we have hissed in it)
If it where not for those thieving gets over the border claiming its there oil we would be one of the richest nations in the world

Skippy, I don’t have any problem with the ordiairy English people, they’re getting shafted as much as we are. It’s the, “ Elite, ” I have the problem with. As I said, “ Fat-Cat,” Scots would be just as bad.

Wouldn't it be the case the the SNP are only a means to indepenence then after that Labour, Tory and Libdems would stand for election to the new independent parliament. So you could end up with labour run independent Scotland. It doesn't mean that an independent Scotland would be governed for always by the SNP. I always wonderd why no one ever says that. Perhaps to keep the masses frightened to go it alone :?

Surely you didn't honestly mean this when you wrote it?

It doesn't matter who is running the gig. Politicians will always ingratiate themselves to the clique. Because that is where the power lies. And they lust for power.

For me, it doesn't matter who sets interest rates. They aint ever going to be set in my interests. (Our government allows payday loans with an APR of 5,500%. That's five thousand five hundred per cent interest rates. Our government supports usury. The less you have the more you pay.)

It doesn't matter who is doing the governing. They aint ever going to govern in my interests.

It doesn't matter who sits in judgement, because they're not judging in our interests.

If you doubt this, consider the 666maxblack case where the Sheriff's only ever intention, what she's programmed to do, was to protect the system at all costs. She was subsequently shown to be so fundamentally wrong in her judgement it smacked of either gross incompetence or corruption. She is still a Sheriff, the system protects her. They are designed to protect each other. Those they judge are just collateral to be damaged.

The SNP are currently the big dogs in the pond. Anyone seriously think they're going to say independence achieved, let's walk away, give up our power and let labour govern us?

Not a chance. All politicans will grasp on to any vestige of power they have. The nasties are no different. And that's the key to it all. The nasties are NO different.

Equality? Caring? Social conscience? Forget it. SNAFU. We still get fecked just like the little units of production like we are.

Anyone doubt this?

You can have you Independence Skip but you'll soon be back within a few years when your money has run out.

What you seem to forget is the Oil was found by English companies so is essence it's English Oil.

Actually, most of the oil was found by foreign companies.
BTW, do you think the Saudis would accept that argument?

As for the money running out, similar things were said about most of the empire countries after the war.......

Its a decision for the Scottish people......personally I think the English should have better relations with somewhere warmer.....Portugal is nice, so's Greece......given the state of those places, perhaps they'll sell us it?

The argument for independence should be based on the future not the past  The oil argument is in the past and must remain

Scotland has everything that everybody wants, England want control of it, Europe want it, America want it and so do the Chinese, the thing is though England and Europe have nothing that we need nor want

Water, Wind, Wave/Tidal Whisky and Will power

Me thinks the highest bidder will get it, the Chinese :D Although Jim Sillars thinks the Americans will get it, ah Control at a price

To be a nation again :D :D :D

Nite Nite and a happy Christmas to ye all :D

But didn't Salmond say last week that he wanted Scotland "at the heart of Europe"?

Are you sure you've thought this 'independence' thing through, Reggie?
