The back exhaust box became detached from my work vehicle! So I did quite a bit of checking around and came up with a company on the Internet called "EuroCarParts" who had the necessary exhaust box in stock - I paid via my MasterCard - and it arrived within 36 hours - very impressed.

Well I was - but it was the wrong one! I rang and explained the sizes were out and was told that they did not have the one that I should have, and that the one that they sent would have to be picked up before a refund would be given.

It was picked up on the 23rd November 2011, and despite numerous phone calls + e-mails I still cannot get them to reimburse my account. I have been onto the bank informing them of the situation who have told me that I will not have to pay the bill submitted to me whilst they investigate.

Today I get another e-mail from the company concerned asking me once again to explain what has happened so that this does not happen again!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

This could be part of a scam whereby they know that they do not have the part - but tell you that they do to get your/my money and then deposit in an interest earning account of which no doubt will be very little, or is the company in trouble using other peoples monies to pay their bills.

The sum involved is £50.75p which is neither here nor there, but that is not the point as I think that in todays transportation of money 22 days+ is a silly time to have to wait for reimbursement and retain the good will of a customer.

Needless to say - no matter what, I will never ever do business with them again - be warned.
One other point and one that I should have spotted - there is a review section and many are not complimentary re the mentioned company.

Nothing but good write ups about them mate, they've just been sold for £200million after the founder sold the whole shooting match after starting up in a shop in Willsden London.

You might have been one that has slipped through the net, they have nothing but rave reviews. Maybe a letter to the MD Sukhpal Singh will sort it out.

I needed a headlight for my Mercedes minibus. There were two different parts availabe and both could be got by the next day. We established the correct part and they said they would have it the next day. Because it was urgent we went to collect it. It was the wrong one and now they could not get the correct one for another 2 days. This cost me a cancelled MOT appointment and I had to get the light from another company. I won't be using them again in a hurry.

As I say you have been warned. I managed to get hold of some reviews (76) in total - I have not read them all but the 5th one down is having the same problems as me.

Having worked in parts (car and commercial) id have to say information available to non OEM supliers can be minimal and usually they have to go by what they are told or can find in thier suppliers catalogues, plus some manufacturers, if faced with a line-stopper will resort to any supplier and its hi or miss as to wether or not the build details are accurate, as for exhausts id never buy online, or at least not before getting 5 supply and fit quotes locally, if Mr Tyre/ATS/Kwikfit get the wrong part its thier problem, not mine.

As a further point of interest I was initially quoted over £80 + from another company for the rear exhaust - I ended up paying SCAMMERS EuroCarParts £50.75p for the same box - well it would have been if they had sent the right one.

Soooo I got hold of a company called SES - www.sesautoparts.co.uk who did the lot inclusive of "pipe connector & two rubber mountings" for £45.90p - Euro scammers did not include the fittings, just the box.
