Depends what the relevant council says about the matter, because each has its own rules and the Zafira is one of those motors where some councils will allow all the seats to be used, while others will only allow it to be used as an estate car.

But since everyone from Captain Cab to the Law Commission say "councils know best", then abandoning this kind of mishmash of rules and bureaucracy seems an unlikely prospect. [-(

ITS OK WITH THE COUNCIL BUT IN THE ZAFIRA THERE ISNT MUTCH ROOM WHEN THE BACK SEATS ARE UP SO I WAS THINKING OF RUNNING IT AS A 5 SEATER

The zafira only has 6 passenger seats BTW, plus driver =7
There are 8 in use in my town, all are licenced to carry 6 passengers, 95% of the time you will find you will only be carrying 1 to 4 folk, but its better to have the licence for the full load, so if you have 5 or 6 you can charge fare and a half
There are not a lot of 6 seaters on the market that can carry 6 plus all there luggage, the way around this is get a tow bar fitted and get a small trailer for airport work,

Do Skoda make a 7/8 seater vehicle suitable for a taxi skip? A super yeti, maybe?

We had a guy plate a 806 here, they are bigger than a zafira but the LO made him remove 1 middle seat to comply

We also had the first ever Traffic plated and the LO objected, owner had to have a frame welded in to stop a seat moving, until then it was 100% Tourneos for 4+ passengers (and a few Scudo things)
