23rd was a cracker for me, including a £50 walk up job on one of the ranks. Much to my surprise though Christmas eve was mediocre. I got out of peeling spuds and sprouts by working a few hours Christmas morning but that was a let down as was Boxing Day. I'm in the new hackney on Friday night but in a PH Saturday so will be interesting to see how these compare with last year.

I always think Christmas eve is going to be better than it actually is.

The evening of Christmas Eve is actually pretty awful in my experience, and it's only after midnight that very much happens.

If it wasn't for the fares premium then it would be a lot worse than a normal Saturday, at least in my experience.

In fact in the small town where I work now I don't even bother going out in the evening these days, because it's so bad.
