Splitting it into individual requests could incur a claim by the council of vexatious requests. Another ground for refusal. All appealable of course, but a tactic to kick it into the long grass.

But we can make complaint nevertheless and the request will be made.

But also a formal complaint about Sue Bruce. The buck stops with her.

That would only prove councils, that don't want to answer reasonable questions, considered them vexatious. As long as your first FOI, is reasonable, the commissionaire would undoubtedly rule in your favour. It's not like this is a scatter-gun approach to gathering information, for example, requesting information regarding all taxi drivers with a criminal record. The information you are asking for is quite specific. It was the council's actions that forced people to appeal against their decision, and they lost. :-|

You might want to make that point in the FOI request and if they refuse, copy the same letter straight to the commissionaire appealing against their decision. :-|

Play them with a loaded dice. :-|

Tell me John, what the fu*k do you think you own that any right-minded person would want to buy? The trade is fu*ked. There is no future in driving taxis in any-more. It's a low paid job working under the control of scumbag councillors picking up the dregs of society. You own nothing but a bloody illusion. It's all in your head.

Deary me . . . #-o

Best 20-word or so summary I've read to describe the job for a while. Sadly.

You'd be happy enough though Jim

ECPH meters was still on tariff 4 between midnight and 6am so you'd be illegally charging your customers. That's if you were actually working past midnight

Is it scottish law that if a PH has a taximeter it has to be on the same rate as HC's?

That's certainly the case here in Aberdeen, Taxis and PH all have meters and are set to the same rate by ACC.

That was the accepted practise, until ECPH were allowed to run 30% cheaper.

The law says councils set the rates and inspect the meters and seals.
Does the law say the rate must be the same? Clearly not, otherwise ECPH wouldn't have been able to do what they did.

Are they still doing this BTW?
