The second article states evidence from a British Transport police officer, I think that is what sussex was referring to.

You originally said all this was down to the lies that the driver, and his colleagues, told the court. Or words to that effect.

I pointed out that other independent witnesses, including a police officer, heard racial abuse.

You requested that the driver, and his colleagues, be prosecuted for perjury. Or words to that effect.

I ask do you also want the independent witnesses, including a police officer, to also be charged with that offence.

Clearly the defendants have been found not guilty, but anyone who knows anything about the Justice System knows full well their must have been a case to answer or the judge would have thrown out the case once the prosecution have finished their case.

Did the defence ask for the case to be thrown out at that time? If not then even they must have considered there was a case to be answered.
