Skull, if you want to continue making a moral/political case against the system then you should have cut Ali loose ages ago.

As things stand in that regard he's now a liability rather than an asset.

It's a bit like someone standing for Parliament and making a stand against MPs' expenses, then when they're elected they start claiming for allsorts on expenses and then blame the system.

But then no one's listening to your political case against restricted numbers anyway. Perhaps Ali's the reason why?

funny but i made money from it and ive never stopped complaining about restriction
isn't that the opposite of what your saying in this quote,IE im making money but i think it should be derestricted

Here's the political and moral argument if you really want one, the system is a farce and morally bankrupt.

Couldn't agree more, and indeed that's the case I've been making for around 15 years now, ie long before either yourself or jasbar were.

But my point is that you can't exploit the system and complain about it at the same time. It's that simple.

and why is that ?

its not my system its theirs.

id like to change many things but most are beyond my powers so its suice or just get on with it and work within it.
that shouldn't stop me or anyone else from voicing there dissatisfaction with it..surely ?

Eh?

My point is that you're exploiting the system that you're complaining about.

It's that simple.

I mean, if you argue that everyone should have a free plate but then get several and then sell them for the money you were complaining about then it's simple hypocrisy.

You can't credibly criticise the system and then join it.

No, Ali got a plate for himself - fair enough - but then he sold it, came back for another two, sold them and is now trying for another? Correct?

Absolutely, and why not, anyone can apply, and if they have the money they have the right. :-| It has nothing to do with principles or exploitation. :-|

Well I'd lilke to hear you put the case against restricted numbers to a politician or member of the public - they'd just laugh at you

And it's not just 'their' system.

It's a cartel and you joined it. :D

is there another choice
the system is there, it hasn't changed,it was designed to be exploitive in the first place.
im either part of it or im not.

so are you telling me you don't believe me when i say that i want derestriction.....because im getting the impression my actions have upset you ?

you have to much faith if you believe that

they wouldn't understand and wouldn't care

the items on the agenda start with 2 paragraphs explaining to these councilors that the only way to refuse the application is under 10.3

and yet you get them coming out with all sorts of other reasons that are irrelevant
IE congestion,pollution etc etc

these idiots don't have a clue and care even less

Cartels, principles, exploitation these are all figments of a vivid imagination. It's the council's system, and it comes with certain rights. They control the market but not the rights of the people, if they choose to challenge their decision. It's then down to the Sheriff to decide who's right and wrong.

As I said before, the council is in the driving seat and everyone else is along for the journey. :-|

your wrong thier as well
i drove the first taxi myself
the second 2 went on a year apart,i drove the first one myself put the second one out to rent at a far reduced rental of £100 less than market price pw
so i hardly see myself as an exploiter of anything apart from the system which is not of my own design.
