I'm trying to make a little sense of whats been going on during this past week. For what its worth I havent drawn any conclusions.

I think the site has been more than fair in allowing the vastly different points of view, some remarks made are plain insulting and tend, in my opinion, to belittle the worthy goal of a forum.

I do have a question about the membership thing though, and I'm sure that TDO will answer me to quell any misgivings or misunderstandings made.

As I've said many times in the past, the nearest analogy I can think of is the readers' letters page in a newspaper.

Those who have registered are members of the discussion forum, not the site per se.

I'm not really sure what the problem is Cap. The site has never claimed to represent the views of contributors to the forum, and I'm not really sure how the average man on the street could possibly think that it did.

It's you that's throwing the accusations around GA, but you won't provide any evidence, so how on earth is anyone going to believe you, and how on earth are we supposed to refute the evidence if you don't provide any?

You say you have 'massive amounts of evidence', yet you don't have the backbone to provide the name of even one LA that this supposed 'specialist solicitor' has been trying to sell his services to.

And surely if this so-called 'solicitor' did exist, then you would have the backbone to tell everyone who he is?

Let's face it, if you had any evidence by now you would have posted it here, but you don't have the guts to actually provide it because you know it's nonsense.

I suspect that some readers may have thought there was a grain of truth in your allegations when you made them, but clearly they will now be aware that since you are unwilling to be more specific then your claims are completely without foundation.

Well I'm off to bed, but when I get up I'll ask you again for the evidence, so please put up or shut up.

As I have said TDO, because of your history of misquoting my posts, I will send you all the information I have at my disposal, just send me your postal details.

I would also like to know when I type a certain surname into my posts it appears ???????.

I'm asking questions about a certain situation which will no doubtably have more effect on this site than of the trade, I have made no allegations as such, I have only advised other members to be careful about the type of information they post, as there seems to be something happening with that information.

Its nothing like a "readers letters" page in a newspaper TDO, another comparison you make to confuse people.



I would say that the reason you have resorted to threats is in an attempt to flush out a small amount of evidence so that you could try and discredit it before the full story can be collated.
What I will state is that when M&R was sent out to councils along with the list of plate values in restricted council areas, was it sent out from TDO or in the name of another source.

If the site says it has never claimed to represent the views of its membership, I feel that is good enough for me.

If you can prove that someone out there has approached anyone, claiming to represent the members of this site, then I, as stated above, would not be too happy about this.

I dont really see a 'them and us' situation.

Can you imagine anyone allowing me to go into their house and trying to smash up the drawing room, as I tried last week with M&R (all be it fairly politely), and for them to be polite about it, indded for them still to be speaking to me?

Cap's I can guarantee you won't be happy.

CC ask TDOadministation if they have contacted any council, or passed information onto them under the name of TDO.

They have admitted to it on site, they have told you that under the name Taxi Driver Online they have sent out copies of M&R, and copies of the list of plate values in restricted areas.

They have NOT however either asked your permission nor have they sent out the information posted which questions either document.

They have sent this information on behalf of an organisation and therefore the members of it.

Nothing contained within this post is an asumption, its based on the facts presented by the administration of this site.

Their actions concern me greatly, I don't want anyone to be representing my views or anyone else's without permission. And it is because we don't know who is involved (at least publically) with the site I believe that everyone should carefully consider the content of any contribution they make to this site as it is, at best, unclear as to exactly what the administration will do with it.
