Well in fact you were in effect correct Skippy - the site was up and running intermittently on Saturday afternoon for a few hours, but precisely how and why no one really seems able to explain.

But for ordinary mortals like ourselves it's probably best not to think about these things too much, in case our brains suffer from some kind of outage due to processor overload. We're in the lap of the IT gods when it comes to the really advanced stuff

i cant get in on google chrome, it comes up with groups (i.e. news/legal) then goes to a section but wont open, page not available

but is working on wifes laptop and IE

Using IE9.

Site was not available at 9.00am this morning, but managed to Log In at about 10am.

Possibly due to the clearing of Cookies, using CCleaner, between the two attempts to log in.

I have not been able to get on until tonight its been down again since Sat every time I tried it came up with a google redirect

If it happens again Skippy could you try the site's homepage to see if that's not loading as well?

Since the site has gone back up I suspect I've accessed it at least once an hour twelve hours a day and haven't had any problems.

It may be something to do with shifting the domain name servers or something like that and may iron itself out, but apart from yourself and wannabee no one has reported any problems.

It's certainly been OK on my netbook (XP), laptop (Windows 7) and phone (Android) whenever I've tried, and I suspect I've clicked at least a thousand times in the last week.

By the way Skippy, I sent you a PM last night in response to your email - but you don't seem to have opened it - perhaps your pop-ups are disabled so you didn't notice it?

Anyway, as I recollect it it doesn't really get anyone very far so you haven't missed much
