If you had the cash, a £1 should just about do it, would YOU be daft enough to buy a taxi school?

What would you be paying for?

Here's how the Dragons might view it as a proposition.

Patents and copyright? None possible. Any broken down cabby, or anyone else for that matter, could set up in opposition at negligible cost.

Premises? These can be hired anywhere, probably at a better deal.

Staff? There are no staff. You'd be doing the gig yourself?

Equipment? A foto copier? You could pick one up for jube jubes.

Intellectual property? A few sheets of lists of street names? Why pay when you could rattle these up yourself?

Goodwill? No repeat business. Those who've gone before aint gonna come back. Any new business would come from ads. And you can easily place these yourself?

Reputation? Anyone joining the trade would either know someone in the trade who knows the schools already available, or they'd pick up on an ad.

Halitosis? Yup, you've got me. You'd be buying halitosis.

Would you pay even a single penny for a taxi school?

#-o

For these reasons, I'm OUT
