New entrants should be made to take a test before they are allowed to be a HC or PH driver. New entrants especially from other countires should be made to take the test. If they fail it's bye bye.

Its not us that needs the extra test, its every fooker else, like the vectra driver yesterday afternoon who saw my right indicator was on, i was turning off a dual carriageway from the right lane, he overtakes me in the left lane and cuts in front of me

and the transit (smiley) who overtook me, and 2 other vehicles, and was on the hatch markings for an oncoming right turn by the time he was past the lead vehicle

i wish i had CCTV facing forward

and has the mobile phone law been repealled? cos i see 100s driving and using the phone

Didn't we have to take a test before we were granted a driving licence in the first place?

What kind of driving test would they need to take that would be recognised in law...sure the UK Driving test is the only recognisable one that should count...Its certainly the Only one the Insurance companies insist you have under your belt.

Do the Local authorities presume that they have a right to demand more than the Sovereign government of Great Britain as to they allow to drive on the Road?

Why not indeed?
Poor driving is not restricted to members of the public and new applicants.
Many of our compatriots are woefully short of anything approaching professional standards.
