Supermarkets, here, are about 4p a litre cheaper than the Nationals.

How far do you have to travel past the nationals to get to the supermarkets, 4p a litre will only give you 25p worth of extra fuel on 5 litres.

£1.43.9 per litre = £6.54p per gallon

$5.09 per gallon = £3.25p per gallon

It's pretty much down to the pint.

We have 20 fluid ounces to the Pint. "A Pint of water weighs a Pound and a Quarter".

The Yanks have 16 fluid ounces to the Pint.

For us, a Gallon weighs 10LB (if it is water, not if it hot, liquid Lead!).

For the Yanks it weighs 8lb.

A US gallon is therefore, only 80% of an Imperial Gallon.

which raises the question, how come yank V8's can do 18-25 mpg when their gallons are smaller than ours?......

Did anyone hear on the news that the @rsewipe and the yank have let some of the oil reserves out to try and bring the price down??
Then the @rsewipe says Uk motorists are feeling it.
It was him and the ones before that started all this and all they have to do is reduce the duty by 50p
