Can anyone sugest the most cost afective way to use text back on cordic system. I have heard about a box that you plug in with a sim card. any help would be appreciated.

You'll have to get in touch with Cordic for that mate, they are like Exel who will have your eyes out in charges.

GSM gateway boxes aren’t that expensive (@£200) and they provide the most cost effective solution but they’re only of any use if the software supports them. Texts work out at about 1/8th of a penny but you need to have the right sim these days as the mobile providers are clamping down on anything that has the hallmarks of spam. ie, a Gateway device running on pay as you go.

We arranged a special contract sim with O2 specifically for sending bulk text within the taxi trade and as such O2 will not blacklist the imi number of the gateway device. We don’t supply these directly but I’m pretty sure they’re about £35 per month and give 30,000 texts i.e. 1/8th penny per text. Quite possibly a standard O2 contract sim will do the same job but you need to read the small print in the contract before signing up on the deal.
