Looks like a Strike could be back on...I wondered why today I got a Local authority Email saying that because I was Secondary School transport driver/provider that i would qualify for a Fuel Priority ID card in case of a fuel driver strike to ensure the kids get to school...I guess they knew Earlier than some that something was going down.

Below is what Unite are saying today

"The proposals represent progress on some of the key areas such as health and safety. But it is clear that they do not give enough guarantees that the instability and insecurity gripping the industry will come to an end.

It is in everyone's interest that we end the contract merry-go- round and the erosion of standards in a vital industry.

Delegates felt the proposals did not meet members' expectations and are recommending that members reject them in the consultative ballot.

– Diana Holland, Unite's assistant general secretary"

All along its been about more driver Wonga and nothing to with Safety as they said it was...now that the safety issues are addressed they still look forward to its members rejecting the deal and picking a fight with the government at whatever cost to Joe Public...

on TV last night a welsh couple were bemoaning the fact that in England a £20,000,000 fund had been set up by HMG for paying out on medicines so far as yet not passed for the NHS to pay for direct, they failed to state that Wales has no prescription charges, and (i believe) no hospital car park charges, fee university places for residents and no care home charges, id say they get the better deal already overall
