Hi Guys,

Does anybody know a good way to contact drivers that want to put advertising on their cabs?
I co-ordinate advertising on the cabs in liverpool via merseycabs radio network - but the networks in london already do their own advertising and refuse to put out the radio calls etc.

should I go down the route of leaving details with individual garages, or would anybody on the forum here be able to help me out?

I appreciate any help from you guys,

kind regards

Tim

Its usually free to request a call out over a radio network (if they permit it), and the same goes with leaving leaflets etc with garages - I'm guessing ads in a trade mag are a bit too excessive & expensive (considering I'm only looking for about 20 or so drivers to carry ads). It's a good idea though, I'll do some research on trade mags and inquire re ad costs. cheers for that

p.s Any word of mouth from you guys would also be massively helpful - If you know someone with a cab that wouldn't mind a bit of extra ad revenue, please let me know :p

I could put you in touch with about 60 drivers who would be interested in Chester. There is a mixture of TX,E7`s and Mercs. One of the Associations contacted a few of the cab advertising firms but nothing came of it.

Full wraps are not allowed in Chester but supersides are.

You could also get a free ad on the Association website http://www.cwacha.co.uk/Cwacha_Site/Cwacha.html there is an email address on there.

That might be a good idea actually - At the moment I'm mainly doing supersides for tx's (the full wraps cost an arm and a leg to get made and they're a pain in the a** to apply anyway).

I dont know any advertisers in chester at the moment, but as I'm based in Liverpool it's not too far for me to go and find some!

Is it okay for me to contact you if that's the case?

All the best,

Tim

There is a London Cab forum, so it might be worth registering there.

Are you looking to advertise anywhere, or just that place called London?

At the moment it's just Liverpool, manchester and London - but It's good to know drivers nationwide as I never know where the next advertiser is coming from.

(I can actively find clients that want nationwide campaigns once I know it's doable)

London has been pretty tough for me as I'm based all the way up in Liverpool - it's a pain not having a proper physical presence down there :(

I just grab a train when necessary, but its a lot of money for something as simple as handing out a check or photographing an advert :(

On a side note, does anybody know a good place that prints and applies full wraps in glasgow and/or any drivers up that way that would like one?

I really appreciate the help from you guys so far & this would be super helpful as well ;)
Cheers for now,
