How long does it take for your main ranks to clear?
Example. There 20 carriages allowed to wait at the rank how long would it takr the 20th carriage to get to no 1 and get a fare averagly
Just asking seeing averages in differentt towns, citys.

Loads of variables there.

Time of day and position being the main ones.

Take Heathrow, Mr GBC can confirm that it takes sometimes hours to get a job, but that job is nearly always a very good one.

You could enquire of SUD survey providers - they may tell you, or trawl Council websites - they may publish SUD results.

All in all I think you are asking a difficult to answer question - too many variables. I can't answer myself - could be half an hour, could be two hours, could be longer.

Over an hour in brum usually for a five quid fare.

Private hire gets all the work here running on artificially low prices.

I took a woman from town to Quinton the other day, approx 5/6 miles and the fare was £11.80. She told me how she called Falcon private hire one Sunday and was charged £7 to get to New Street station and when her train was cancelled she jumped into a hackney to go back home and the fare was over £14 (we do cost 20% more on a Sunday).

She wasn't moaning about the cost of hackneys and still uses us but genuinely wondered how the privates could do it that cheap.

Because the fares are set by people who never drive.

Now you're just being stupid. The point is people keep asking how do ph do it so much cheaper, if they are doing 3 jobs to a taxis 1 job they'll be earning more money per hour
