I've never seen an advert for a motor mentioning a genuine 289k.

My way sometimes isn't the stereotypical way, good to be different

Some do doubt though a 9 year old Taxi milage, my milage is 289,000 at the moment

The average milage for a double shifted motor in Edinburgh is 60k what is it elsewhere?

Private Reggie: Please tell us what you think of it, I'm thinking very much along the same lines.

E7fan: I'm based in Ayr. Drive from the Rank, 5 Back-shifts, about 54 hours a week. Seems to be doing about 26,000 miles each year.

I took one for a test drive last week.... Got the MPG up on the computer whilst driving it and it frightened me to death.

I will be very interested to see what "real" figures can be obtained out the streets.

It did drive really nice though.

Its got to be better than My outgoing Metro Auto

Peugot are claiming 37.1mpg with 160+bhp, with a light right foot im sure the Mpg will on a best day level out at around 30mpg, that is roughly a third better than im getting the now  yearly thats a saving off 33% or around £3k which is 50% of my finance, then you have a 100% tax relief on full finance, this is the final year of the tax relief scheme

I will keep you's informed as i get the new motor on Thursday

A point to note guy's is my interest rate on my finance is 3.9%, if the euro goes tits up, interest rates will rise massivley
