You speak for one PH driver, without interest in other drivers be they PH or HC.

Its your pupeteer you care about now, they even made you go against your principles of having an "open access" forum,

so much for your principles then eh.

BTW don't point its rude.

Yes, clearly there has to be a policy on fares, whether the area is restricted or not.

But the point M&R was trying to make was that fare levels can be used merely to benefit plate holders, while jockies and the public are effectively ignored.

What a load of garbage.

Not a mention of the poor old PH drivers now then.

You're talking bollocks for a reason and that reason doesn't involve either plateholders, jockies, PH drivers or the public.

Lets have the real reason TDO online, and lets have it now.

I haven't got a clue what you're on about, which is I suspect you haven't got a clue what I'm on about.

The issue being discussed was the economic effects of HC fare rises in relation to plate holders, jockies and the public, and how this would influence the unmet demand test.

PH drivers were never mentioned.

This is as much garbage as the solicitor stuff in the other thread.

You should stick to the issues Angel, because when you let your imagination run away itself it just makes you look ridiculous.

Pupeteer, pulling strings....for Cliff's sake ...

The myth and reality document was a well put together piece, it is obvious from reading it that the authors are pro delimitation.

This is my first post on this subject because just lately I have been too busy but you are to be applauded cap, not only for your unbiased appraisal that the document was well put together but the fact that you actually read it from cover to cover.

There is nothing wrong in sitting on the fence, it sometimes suggests that you have an open mind as to the current event in question. However, I hope your fence is a little more secure than the one Peter Perkins sat on.

This has been a confusing polciy to some, however, as I've stated before, in my view justification is of prime importance in any LA policy.

Yes your view has been most consistent no one can argue with that.

I wish to disect the myth and reality document in this thread, you are welcome to make your comments known, however, I ask the moderators to delete all posts which go off topic.

Are you dissecting all of it, or just certain parts? We could be in for a long hot summer.

Best wishes.

The difference between Cap and Mr Perkins is that Cap comes off the fence when necessary, wheres I think Mr Perkins fell off

lol Perkins fell off directly after he implied he was sat firmly on the fence, I can only assume that he must have been sat in a somewhat precarious position in the first place.

Was he pushed or did he jump? I havent made my mind up on that one yet.

Best wishes

Cap? The response to the OFT report from this outfit in Liverpool called NWTA. The author one Mrs J Connolly was bemoaning the fact that she had only 30 days to respond, yet when she did finally respond she only wrote nine pages, and to top it all the text was in large fonts. If the font was smaller the text would have no doubt fit on 7 pages?

When looking at the content of the NWTA response and comparing it to the content of Myth and Reality, which do you think is most worthy? The nine pages of the NWTA or the sixty six pages of M&R

While a number of Hackney Carriages limit themselves to the rank and hail market, I would suggest that more hackneys use radio circuits than those that dont.

Thats a tough one cap, surely it must vary throughout the country. Here in Manchester there are more cabs without radios than with. I suspect in Carlise it might be the exact opposite. Perhaps taking the country as a whole you may be right but are we talking cab numbers or local authorities? You might find the highly populated cities out number those cabs in the rural areas and therefore in actual terms of numbers it may be closer than you think?

I think a lot of HCs in de-limited areas are really PH with a license to ply.

As for the general UK trade, I think more HCs will have radios in than not. In my area I would say 75% of them have radios. So perhaps they should return the favour and allow 75% of PH to rank up.

The issue isn't 'yes or no', but pointing out to those not in the know why they should say 'yes or no'.

Well it took M&R 66 pages to say yes and NWTA 9 pages to say no, so it would seem there was a greater argument put forward to saying yes, than there was to saying no.

On the other hand as we can see by your contribution, "scousers are short on words and even shorter on intellect".
