You already know the answer to that CC, he's been painting pictures for 9 years now in the hope he can muscle in for nothing, and when they let him in he proved what he is by selling it for a profit soon after, a perfect example of someone not to take any notice of imo, and even though he's been tasting the yesterdays breakfast of the right people I'm led to believe even they see through him and know his motives are unpure, imagine Brighton de-regulated and the country still gave each council the choice on limits, he'd be switching sides the next day to undo all he's done to protect his non investment, still our migrants and Asians are getting restless here so it's my duty to inform them of the cash cow Brighton is isn't it

My headbutting the wall had little to do with your comments.....and everything to do with the comment sussex made in relation to the ignorance of the 'cab' trade.

i think you alluded to this before, but it was ignored, why would he want to sell a brighton plate and do p/h? its a non brainer.

PM him and ask him, I'm sure he'll be up front about it, infact I believe for him it was like scoring a winning goal against Germany in a world cup in the last minute.

CC, ok mate, np, I thought it was because of his comment above you about the smile.

I've not seen such a panic seen the OFT Report.

Looks chaps, whatever happens it will not be down to me, it will be down to people a lot cleverer than any of us.

So if you have a problem with anything that comes out of the Law Commission, then take it up with them.

If for no other reason than I really don't give a f*** what you think about me, and what I have or haven't done in the past.

But what I will pass on for nothing is that anyone with half a brain should have realised long ago that European Law trumps UK Law, so any new UK Law that breaches EU Competition Law ain't going to happen.

FWIW I neither dislike you or bear you any harm, for 3 years I've been trying to educate you, and I think in a way it's worked, you are nowhere near the de-reg advocate you were when I first arrived, you banned me and then allowed me back in (even though you deny it's your call) there must've been a reason you allowed me back in, I think you've seen at last what others have tried to tell you, you've been mighty quiet for a while as well, when I was first here you were in every thread, now you post once or twice a week, there's nothing wrong in admitting you got it wrong, when I was PH I kinda echoed you, but when you spend time on both sides you get a balanced opinion, a lot has changed in three years and I think you recognize that opening a door will be the final nail in the coffin, especially for you as you are in an area that is still reasonable to work in, I like your site, I think it's healthy to debate, but I think you ultimately have discovered your crusade bears little resemblance to the one you started 9 years ago and now can't face admitting you got it wrong, even before the immigrants took hold you were wrong, so why not man up and speak it as you now find it, PC is for the weak, the mush, the sheep, you aren't a sheep, you are a man of opinion, so join the correct side and lets get re-building the decay, you know I'll always back you on standards, so c'mon, give it up and move on to making this job worth doing again.

Nothing changed for me.

It's just over the last few years I have sat back on this issue and watch it go the only way it could go.

If it wasn't for restrictions and a pi** poor knowledge your manor wouldn't be flooded with PH undercutting like buggery.

So if you need any evidence on why your stance is flawed, I suggest you look out of your window.

You are wrong there, the reason it's like it is is because one firm bought almost every other one and created a virtual monopoly, within that company came others who basically have turned themselves into Avis Taxis where they simply rent a vehicle out like a franchise, add in the rent for accommodation for migrant families who are ending up in the game because they can only do S/E work due to immigration laws,

I agree about the knowledge, but unrestricted plates? please tell me how you are right and I am wrong if there has been an increase in PH plates to the tune of 600 extra over the last 4 years, imagine it was another 600 hacks and how would anyone get a rank job ever again, facts are until the economy picks up properly ppl will keep on arriving in the cab game because they think it's easy, but not many stick it out, I was looking down the rank the other week thinking of who was sat there with me ten years ago and it's not a lot, new faces abound,

But imagine it was regulated your way where you could get a plate, even if the knowledge should keep some out, what is to stop a bent official turning a blind eye in some cases and issuing to someone who had actually failed for whatever reason, like the driving license thing mentioned here last week,

And finally, how can I demand anything from my council, who am I to go in there and start re-writing the rules for them, I get on very well with my LO's and when I asked about a few things that need looking into I was told we'd love to but we've neither the funding nor the law on our side to do it, hopefully this is about to change and it will be easier for them to decline someone whose not going to provide a first class service whether it be in ability or attitude,

Basics of it are drivers flocking to the cheap firm years ago (not me btw I know the difference between making profits and simply re-generating what you already had sloshing about under the rear seat) anyway rumour has it it's about to be sold this week, so hopefully it will be someone a bit blue chip who knows proper margins, I doubt it though, it'll probably be another abuse the immigrant type company who simply don't care.
