Without doubt the most iffy SUD survey that I have ever seen.

Aren't surveys meant to give proper data, as opposed to the maybe's in this one?

Aren't they meant to do detailed rank observations, as opposed to the less than a weeks worth of tape?

Still at least Jacobs have kept to the same standard as the pile of poo they did for the NTWA or whatever their name is now.

Oh and the mush with £3,000,000 worth of plates must be a little bit happy. For the time being at least.

Does it actually mention 3 million? Thats a lorra plates for one person to drive?

Regards

It lists the number of plates owned by the number of people.

One has 79 x £40,000 = £3,160,000
One has 32 x £40,000 = £1,280,000
One has 25 x £40,000 = £1,000,000
etc etc

And the Angel tries to tell us that this only happens in his de-limited manor.

at the risk of breaking out into song

We're caught in a trap, I can't walk out
because I love you too much baby
Why can't you see, what you're doing to me
When you don't believe a word I say.
We can't go on together, with suspicious minds
And we can't build our dreams, on suspicious minds
So, if an old friend I know, drops by to say hello
Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?
Here we go again, asking where I've been
You can't see these tears are real, I'm crying
We can't go on together, with suspicious minds
And be can't build our dreams, on suspicious minds
Oh let our love survive - or dry the tears from your eyes
Let's don't let a good thing die
When honey, you know
I've never lied to you
Mmm yeah, yeah

hehe

Thats a first, no one else has ever thought to mention plate ownership before. Did they mention 40 grand per plate? They are spot on lol. How many does Mrs Connolly own?

I used your value for the plates, but they forgot to mention it in their report despite the DfT saying that premiums mean SUD.

Funny that. :^o

Well that does surprise me because there are plates advertised every week in the Liverpool Echo for 40 grand. I can't understand why Jacobs left plate values out.

I see they spent a whole week surveying the ranks of Liverpool. [-(

Now proper surveyors usually spend twice as much time. Proper surveyors usually compare waiting times with other manors. Proper surveyors point out the peaks and the troughs. Proper surveyors have independant phone surveys. Proper surveyors should find out what the demand is, not what they think it is.

Jacobs may think they are surveyors, but I think Joe Pasquale is far nearer the truth.

But wouldn't that money be better spent in higher quality vehicles and drivers?

Wouldn't that be better for customers? As opposed to the lame justification thought up by Jacobs i.e because cars are double shifted, then everything is ok.

What utter nonsense. [-X

Thats the remit of the LA, I'm sure if they wish to raise standards they are able to.

The more I look at this report the more iffy it becomes.

In 1989, the survey observed ranks for 270 hours. In 1991, they observed ranks for 345 hours, yet in 2004 Jacobs decided they could half that, and only surveyed for less than a week. [-X

I'm also interested that they found 'No evidence of SUD', but gave no definition of SUD. So if they don't know what they are looking for, or choose not to know, then it's not exactly surprising that they didn't find any evidence.

That aside, aren't they aware that the law says they must find evidence that SUD doen't exist, not that they can't find it.

As I said, very iffy.

But if under the same circumstances jacobs had found unmet demand you would be applauding them on a well organised survey, in your cake and eat it way. am I right?

lol, I think your probably right jimbo, sussex is a sceptic

although tapes breaking minutes before peak demand, equipment being damaged etc does rather tend to lead to suspicion.

It would be beneath me to aim anything at the company involved although Im sure sussex will say something
