I think that must be taken out of context JD.

Although, I read somewhere the average wage in this country is £25K per year.

Captain cab

If someone makes a statement saying they have to earn 17 grand to cover vehicle running costs before they start earning a penny for themselves, is hardly out of context.

Perhaps it was bravado, or meant to impress? in that case it was a deliberate lie. Therefore the point I am making, is that if a person is willing to publish fiction on one matter then he is quite capable of publishing fiction on other matters.

JD

it isnt a deliberate lie, and you claim to be a taxi driver?

you dont know the basics!

Well one of them is a lie. He said he was only taking £40 a day in one thread so either thats a lie or his 17k statement is a lie. To earn 32k a year he's going to have to earn £638 per week or £91 per day thats working 7 dyas a week 365 days a year. So which lie do you believe? the choice is yours.

He may be better off renting, he would immediately be 8 grand a year better off.

JD

F***IN hell are you thick man or what??? RENT £210 per week, fuel £100 per week add that all up over the year.

I don't know what the £210 rent reference is to whether it be Radio rent track rent or what. You are on record that you owned your own vehicle and that you get your own work. Your figure of rent equates to 10,920 per annum, Your fuel figure equates to 5,200 per annum thats a total of 16,120 . The fuel consumption at £4 per gallon based on a vehicle with a 35 MPG consuption works out at 875 miles a week. Now If I do 875 miles a week I'm going to gross in the region of 750 to 800 per week or 41 grand a year but your on record as saying you only earn £40 per day. youre digging a bigger hole for yourself sunshine.

If you can do 875 miles a week then there is no reason why anyone else in Mansfield shouldn't do 875 miles a week.

And before anyone chirps in you all know what 875 miles a week will get you so no stupid comments.

I must admit I am fortunate enough not to have to do the number of miles you obvioulsy do. My desk has a hard time getting out of first gear.

I take it that no-more have been taken in then.

Oh and the Angel has been a bit quiet on the subject recently. I hope he hasn't gone under-ground.

I don't think I'll state the figure that Nidge once bragged that he managed to persuade an Inland Revenue tribunal that he earned each week.

That would be far too cruel

Was it less than his yearly fuel consumption of £5200? And do you have any idea what this £210 per week rent applies to because Nigel is playing hard to get. He doesn't rent off an owner does he?
