Dougie, you don't know what you prefer, it could be New York or New Haven as far as you're concerned.

Gusmac, I don't mean to be patronising but the system is the way that it is, because it works the way that it does.

The only way to change or beat the system is to stop playing their game, it will come, but maybe not in my lifetime.

2016 is playing their game, then it's 2020 and 2024, don't you get it. You are either one of them or one of us?

Now ask yourself, if transparency and accountability are, all I am looking for, what's the problem?

Then what is it you are after? And why so coy about it?

Look at it this way, if your vote means transparency and accountability of government, it's a done deal. Alec Salmond and the SNP, will deliver exactly what you've voted for, your vote has counted for something, but if it doesn't, then what?

Who lied to who?

I know what I want but do you know what you want?

So tell me again, why I should vote SNP?

Transparency and accountability of government seems to be a big problem to supporters of the SNP. I would have thought that's the least you should be voting for.

It's a pity you can't show some of that transparency and answer the question

I tend to think the SNP will last about 2 or 3 years after independence - at that point the americans will invade because they have oil.

If that doesnt happen, they'll get booted out and Scotland will go Labour or Conservative, as the nationalist party will have run its course.

I tend to agree, apart from the bit about the Americans.

What are you talking about, transparency and accountability of government, is exactly what I'm after? All meetings and information open to press and public scrutiny, with an independent arbiter to deal with complaints and the power to settle matters at will.

There's nothing "coy" about what I want or my answer to you, in fact, it couldn't be more precise.

I think your allegiance to the SNP, is blocking your ability to see the obvious, even when it's right under your nose. #-o

The reason Alec Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon's and Kenny MacAskill won't agree to transparency of government, is because real power would shift from the super rich and big business to the people of Scotland.

Imagine, Gusmac/Stationtone a government that actually works for you, putting the public interest before their own or that of big business.

At least, you now know what you are not voting for, when you vote, SNP.

Eddie, it strikes me, that you are one of these, brave heart, inspired parochial Scotsman types with your head so far up, Alec Salmond arse. You can see out. #-o

The reason the political classes are puppets of the super rich is because all the real government business, is held in camera. The electorate doesn't know the details of the deals being done behind the scenes or who is responsible. Public accountability is nearly ZERO.

If all government business is subjected to press and public scrutiny, it would be much more difficult for politicians or their puppet masters, to screw the public over, like they do now. :-|

Eddie, you would have to be naive to vote SNP, with the present "democratic" system the way that it is.
