with all due respect thats bollox, you never go to court to ask the law!

one knows the law, the courts merely adjudicate on innocence or guilt

the law is clear, within an authority a person may ply for hire within 5 miles of a general post office unless a lesser distance is prescribled.

Calderdale Council dont know if there is a lesser distance,"until the legal boys have dug it out!"

fortunatly I am not quite as lax I can tell you for certain, there is not any lesser distance

an enforcement officer at the behest of a jelous owner has queried the position he has not yet come back with a response

If Calderdale say you are wrong, you could always take them to court, seeing as how you feel so strongly about it. That will settle it once and for all.

No it does not work quite like that round here
if Calderdale say Im wrong they take me to court,
when they lose I ask for costs, then object to the accounts with the district auditor, on the grounds of thier "wilfull misconduct" local government act 72?

not bad at law for a mere taxidriver eh?

Calderdale will only take you to court if they feel inclined to do so. They may reprimand you but that won't solve your problem because your problem is with the legislation, so the only recourse for you is either rank up again in a zone you are not licensed for or take them to court.

You dont have any other option.

lol Why not? you are on record as stating you did nothing wrong? Rankin up in someone elses zone is completely within the law, so you say? So whats the problem? Cant you afford a good solicitor? is that why you phoned David Spencer in Manchester? lol

Seems your not a person to put your money where you big mouth is. I Guess that doesn't surprise us in the least.
