"I believe that it is fundamentally better for us all, if decisions about Scotland's future are taken by the people who care most about Scotland, that is, by the people of Scotland.

Being independent means Scotland's future will be in Scotland's hands.

There is no doubt that Scotland has great potential. We are blessed with talent, resources and creativity. We have the opportunity to make our nation a better place to live, for this and future generations. We can build a greener, fairer and more prosperous society that is stronger and more successful than it is today.

I want a Scotland that speaks with her own voice and makes her own unique contribution to the world: a Scotland that stands alongside the other nations on these isles, as an independent nation."

It's a 'Yes' declaration. Why would you get the chance to vote No? The No campaign will be along shortly, if it can get its act together.

Indeed.....

.........other than huge public service cuts brought on by a reduction in the Barnett formula, English style NHS cuts and partial privatisation,
imposition of the LC's E&W recommendations here, disbanding of the last of the Scottish regiments, further military base closures (except Faslane of course, we can always afford money for nukes so long as they're not based anywhere near London) .............no, nothing at all to worry about really.

There'll be no one like Eck for Decimating the great scots regiments...Nor for placing ever scot in eternal poverty in the name of freedom from England whilst at the same time shackling you to the yoke of the Scottish Parlmiantary goons..

I Know what the better option is, It's the one that's served us so well for years..

Blaw, blaw, blaw...So much hot air, you Indies could heat Holyrood for three months.. #-o

Correct me if I'm wrong....but isn't the SNP just a means of getting independence. Then, if it happens, There would be a general election where the other parties, Con, Lib, Lab etc would stand and could be elected then to run an independent Scotland.
That's the way I understand it, it wouldn't mean that the SNP would run Scotland indefinately although it would be fine by me as they've done a hell of a lot better so far than the other mobs.
If it's the case, I'm surprised it hasn't been more publicised as obviously people seem to have a problem with Alex Salmond.
Personally I don't, but that's just me. :-k

Yes, but it doesn't suit the unionists to recognise this

It can't be easy closing your eyes to what everyone else can see for themselves.
