It's a little more than bankruptcy. The upheaval to reset the system is going to hurt a lot of people, and it won't happen over night.

Hyper inflation is going to be the first problem and then there's the possibility of a wee War with IRAN.

Things will go belly up eventually as there's to many people on to small a planet using to many natural resources at to fast a rate and eating to much food whilst breeding like rabbits in order to perpetuate their own gene pool which in turn further fuels and amplifies the whole nightmare scenario.

I would find somewhere to hide that taxi of yours just to be on the safe side. No one can say how this will all play out, but I get the feeling it's not going to be pretty, and the last place you might want to be, is working the streets.

You know. I find it fascinating, how, one of the biggest events in modern history, can scare the sh*t out of people so completely, they can't get their heads around it. It is true to say that life goes on, but “bus lanes” and a “yes” vote for independence.

Don't get me, wrong. I didn't really expect much in the way of feedback, but have you thought about how you will survive when everything goes, Pete Tong?

This is not a doomsday scenario, but it could take a while before the economy is reset. And even when it happens, people are not going to be jumping up and down with lots of cash in their pockets.
At the very least, I think you can expect, a fairly long period of hyper inflation mixed in with and a lot of seriously pi**ed-off people.

Oh no, it's not just the jocks who are doomed and I wouldn't worry to much about Scottish Independence, just at the moment.

I started this thread in the Scottish section purely out of curiosity, simply to see how people would react to the enormity of the situation.

And so far, there are no surprises.

I have never cried Wolf. People of low intelligence simply read what they want into the statements I've made.

The Edinburgh Taxi Trade was told to de-restrict, with the London model and quality controls, or see it overrun with Ph, and look what's happening. Back in 2007 – 2008, I made the prediction that Ph, and the coming recession/depression (thread on fasties: The Perfect Storm) would burst the plate “value” bubble and the Edinburgh taxi trade would become a low-paid industry.

So Gusmac, no Wolf, only a lot of frightened wee lambs who can't cope with the truth.

As for Economic Collapse being imminent, it's a mathematical certainty and not a prediction of what might happen. The system has to collapse as there's nothing that can be done to save it.

You should stop listening to the main stream media and do your own research.

Oh and Gusmac, its disciples like you, that have allowed politicians and their criminal chums get us into this mess – WAKE-UP - your vote will go straight into the pocket of your new owners.
