Alec Salmond is the dogs... when in it comes to politics, no doubt about it. Therefore, why should he bite the hand who feeds him? For Gusmac or the likes. I don't think?

Alec Salmond knows where his interests lie even if Gusmac doesn't. #-o

I dont think Gus has ever stated any support for the SNP.....he has stated he wants to see Scotland independant, they are two differing things?

Really, doesn't one borrow the other? This is politics we are talking about, isn't it?

Do you think an independent Scotland would have had anything to do with the Iraq War? Or Afghanistan for that matter?

I think its down on record that the snp opposed the first war and supported the second in iraq?....I aint sure about afghan, but I think there were more reasons for invading afghan than iraq.....although I dont know why WE (as in the UK) invaded either country, they didnt attack us....(although by the same maxim, Germany didnt attack the US prior to war being decrared in WW2 ? )

Listen, I don't wake up in the morning wanting to attack anyone in Iraq or Afghanistan. And I don't suppose anyone there gives a [edited by admin] about me either. So why are our troops walking down their streets, get them the [edited by admin] out.

I have no problem with these people, so what's the problem. It's not of my making. :-|

I think if people look seriously at some of the snp's statements over the past few years you'll see gross misjudgements; celitic tigers; the bus nationalisation being dropped after stagecoach went onboard; and so on. But the UK politicians were actually in charge, and they're in many respects far worse because they're in power.

I think once the scots have independence there'll be all manner of scots political parties.

None of which will change the globalisation and free market that they are all dependent upon......but the UK government are blind to that too.

Scots being a reborn state will have no influence, in much the same way as the current UK have no influence, but as Gus quite rightly states, at least it'll be scots no influence, not UK.

As you point out, it dont matter.

Your both coming at the same conclusion from differing directions

CC, one word, self-interest, Alec Salmond is no different to any politician south of the border. He may be smarter, but that's only because he has the latitude. When in power, it's business as usual. If the political mechanism is not in place, that makes him accountable to his electorate, it's the same old sh*t, different day.

The Gusmac's of this world will believe anything they are told to believe. :-|

If you bombed Aberdeen, no one would notice. It's full of fu*kwits anyway.

I know this is a hard concept for some people, but if they don't believe in shi*e, they won't fight wars. :-|

The skulls of this world believe what they are told. It's just somebody else who's telling them.
You think you are free thinking, but you are not.
Your just apeing the thoughts of those you choose to believe. Those who also have an agenda......

BTW, Edinburgh is a bigger [edited by admin] than Aberdeen, with a loony tram scheme making it worse.

Truth/Fact/Reality

Quote:
You're not a stupid guy, but this tartan fantasy has blinded you to the real world. The fact is, the wealthy elite, has an agenda. The political classes are their servants, and you my little tartan friend, are one of the sheeple. An Independent Scotland is a nice dream, but that's all it is. No one is going to put you or I, for that matter, before their own political or financial interests. There is no, representing the people of Scotland, it's all about self-interest and neither you, nor I, really count.

Gusmac, thinking that sheeple like you really matter to the wealthy elite, and their political puppets, is not only absurd. It's incredibly naive. You really do need to give yourself a shake. The privileged, are not in the business of sharing their wealth and power with little tartan sheeple like you.

“I see independence as the next stage of a longer game” now that's OCD. Image
