Fortunately your opinion is worth less than the 1p :p

However, before you answer, have a look at this documentary, Chomsky, Tony Benn and a few others all with important points to make. Not the best documentary I've seen, but it gives you a pretty good understanding of how the real-world works. You might think it's too Americanized for a British audience, but it's not really any different here - same game, same rules. :-|

It's hosted by Woody Harrelson.

Well that's an hour and a bit of my life I won't get back  Very little there I didn't know.

Get this skull, I already know how the world works. I'm just not content to wring my hands and accept that nothing can be changed.

You watch the documentary and you know how the world works, but you still want to believe that you matter, and that your vote actually counts for something?

To be honest Gusmac, I'm almost lost for words.

I'm at a loss to understand you. If you really believe nothing can be done, why keep posting about it?

Are you the sort of guy who gets his jollies telling kids there's no Santa Claus?
Is your ideal afternoon out a visit to a cancer ward so you can let them all know they're fekked and how horrible their death will be?
Jeez your existence must be sad.

So what would you like me, to believe, if not the truth of the situation? The system is the way that is because of people like you, not me. I'm not the problem. :?

Believe what you like skull.
You don't know the whole truth any more than I do, or the guy on that film who said we can solve everything by spending our money more ethically. (he was doing quite well up until then BTW)

Then what are you? Your certainly not the solution.
Anyway, your the one blaming the sheep for being sheep.

Oh I know the truth because I've done my homework. I've seen how the political, judicial and educational systems work, first hand. It's a con, a game of control and manipulation. The mechanism is set up to deliver the illusion of political choice, justice and learning. The truth is Gusmac. It's all about keeping the sheeple under control while best serving commercial interests.

What am I, someone who has learned to look behind the curtain? As for the sheeple, what can I say, I think it's a question of wanting to remain ignorant? :-|

My man is correct there, all through life you are led to believe we are a team effort, the reality is the money man takes his money, if there is opposition at the time he calls a war, the innocent fight this war and the man cashes in on rebuilding,

TBH it makes you want to at least walk in to Westminster and punch someone, much as you may wish to think otherwise Gus, the wealthy play the poor off as mugs, it's now a league table and if you ain't in the premier you don't count,

If only I could get a message from God like the fake folks do, if he unrestrained me I'd have a f**cking field day, Robin Hood maybe a myth, but the story exists for a reason, and roll it back far enough and upper class just equals the biggest thief.

I don't disagree with either of you.
I just don't see much point in harping on about what you claim is inevitable and that nothing can be done.

What's the point?

I never said, nothing can be done but the only way to change the way the world works, is through education. A revolution comes about when knowledge and personal circumstances collide with changes in the environment, economic collapse is one example. There are many more, the Arab Spring was another. Facebook and Twitter saw a number of nations shaken out of their slumber, and it's still going on.

Aren't the Arab spring countries just exchanging totalitarian dictatorship for the elected version?

Probably, but not necessarily, it's all about educating the masses on how they are being robbed and enslaved by the wealthy elite. It's then about electing representatives and not leaders, and that means changing the political mechanism to protect the people from those who would abuse the system for their own interests. :-|

Trouble is, how do you educate the sheeple? They're a mixed bag of don't knows, don't cares and don't understands.
