I have a question... now we know the private hire are licensed to carry passengers for hire and reward... but not parcels... if you take a container of blood... is this classed as a passenger..ie.. the bloodd is still alive... or is it a parcel because of the container.

Not because it's locked into a steel container.

Yeah but grandad u started by saying that ph couldnt take parcels and then threw blood into the equation, so which is it ph cant take ,blood or parcels ?

I've carried blood in a clear packet, I've also carried lots of samples from one hospital to another, in fact it's one the largest contracts on the Wirral. There is no training or assessment it's just go and do it, simples. Drivers have been given blow up mattresses to carry personally I've never been asked to carry one but I wouldn't unless it was put into my vehicle and taken out of my vehicle by somebody else.

private hire are licensed to carry passengers.... they are not licensed to carry anything else.
