Transparency of Government, public scrutiny, direct accountability, is all missing from their manifesto.

Essentially, you are voting in another polyarchy, an elected dictatorship whose interests are served by a wealthy elite. There is no promise of a political mechanism making politicians directly accountable, to their electorate. No matter how incompetent they are, they won't lose their jobs.

Gusmac, this is like a history lesson the people of Iceland played no part in. It's irrelevant. Iceland's new democratic model happened as a consequence of socioeconomic collapse. An educated public said enough was a enough and took control. A public I may add, for the most part, weren't even born between the years of 1918 and 1944.
