How do you work that out?

Incidentally, don't know if everyone has seen this advice on the HSE website:

Hello Sam, I see from your webpage that your research is described under the heading 'Consultancies', ie:

Quote:
Consultancies:

New research project examining the victimisation of taxi drivers in England and Wales entitled: ‘Sitting Targets’.

http://www.canterbury.ac.uk/social-appl ... am-poyser/

In view of the use of the word 'consultancy' would you be able to confirm the funding and rationale for the project, in particular whether it is funded or sponsored by any external private or public sector body or organisation and whether any external private or public sector body or organisation commissioned or was otherwise involved in the decision making process leading to the research.

Hi Dusty Bin
I didnt place it under 'Consultancy'. I placed it under 'News' and as far as I know it has been moved a few times, at the discretion of the site manager. No external bodies are involved in the research or funding it. I was considering asking for funding from an external body but felt that it might, to some extent, compromise who was able/willing to take part. The research study has, of course, not started yet.
Kindest regards
Sam

I now understand what you mean - you are referring to my profile on my website. This is an error made by someone at the university I'm afraid. The taxi driver project should be under the heading 'research' and the remaining info under the heading 'consultancies and prof activity'. Thank-you for drawing my attention to this as obviously we do not input this data ourselves. I have asked that this be changed asap so as not to cause any confusion. Very important to be accurate. This is a research project, not a consultancy.

Thanks for the prompt clarification Sam.

Indeed I think the relevant section of your profile page has been changed accordingly.
