Toots, you miss my point

put simply

why is the County Council (in effect) promoting an outside company who, at the best, look far from a reliable outfit when they are NOT a preffered supplier, contractor or a CC department?

I may ask the CC to promote my business if thats the case

It's the first time you've said they aren't a preferred supplier. I suggest you ring and ask them :D

You mentioned ringing the company not the council

the only way the CC should be involved is IF they were a prefferred supplier or contract/tender winner to supply the service, otherwise youd almost think someone was on a backhander....... 8)

I dont know what a one stop shop is, I do know that 1 company has approached a county council who has forwarded a flyer out making it look like a council-approved/backed scheme with free places, when you ring its obvious the funding wont be there at course time, almost every taxi and PH operator is accesible by a website, email or phone number, this firm (dormant at company house) couldnt be arsed to do any legwork and arranged for the county to send out the flyer

its a BTEC course offer which the county dont require, so why did they get involved?.....
