We cant have zafira's, galaxy, transporter, traffics, 807, cant have tipping seats for rear access, all rear passengers must have access to a side door, a VW maxi has just been plated but ive not seen how many seats for.

Same here. A guy went out once and bought a 7 seat KIA Sedona, the Council said you can only have it licensed for four.

I drive a PH Zafira on a Saturday night. It is a 54 plate. Licensed for 4. However our LA has decided that later Zafira's are OK to license for 6. I find it hard to accept the unsafe argument on a high sales volume vehicle such as this or any other MPV for that matter. Sure, some seats in some are probably too small for adults. I'll have a look on Saturday to make an informed expert judgement

I'm not sure if it is still the case but i seem to recall that at one time Fareham LA would not plate Skoda Octavia's as the seats didn't meet their size spec. Must all be bloaters there?

Is this point an argument for national standards? 2 neighbouring LA's are happy with it FFS.
