Had to nip into Peterborough on Thursday pm and decided to park at Asda as it was nearest the shop I needed (which turned out to have disappeared) as I walked across the car park I noticed PH cars which have a loading facility (rank) there pulling up loading passengers and off away again. There is an office for the said PH firm adjacent but no one in it. When I got back to Ada I looked again and still the same thing PH cars loading up no one manning the booth. I had a quick look inside Asda but I could not see a courtesy phone or freephone for the PH firm.

This is of course on private land so my question is are they allowed to do that or are they still supposed to book the fare in first before loading or does calling the fare through via a PDA/datahead still count ?

Welcome to the real world of scabbies. It happens all the time in Brum in a multitude of locations.
