Any Drivers on here from Addison Lee or previously a Addison Lee driver?

Share your experience working for the company?

So this is what it's all about eh, sniffin out how to become a dominater eh, ask all the stupid cabbies what to look out for and then ramp up no longer green as grass,

TIP 4 U

You missed the boat, in every city worth doing it it's done, the only way would cost a fortune, you'd need a very large fleet of cars and drivers on wages until you established trade, and that just about tips it into the not worth the hassle category.

Same experience as working for you, I would imagine!

Well, if Mr.Addison Lee can afford to take TfL to the ECHR over the bus lane problems, you would need many millions to buy his business or to emulate his business.

A couple of useful links maybe?

addisonleeforum.forumotion.co.uk

http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/investigation ... dison.html
http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/investigation ... er-pa.html

47 comments are written on the first article (which was written in September 2010, the last comment posted was in June), and 13 comments are written about the second article.

The other way is to go and talk to the drivers, plenty around the Heathrow area, where they park up at various places (car washes/car parks/fast food places) waiting to go inside for their pick up, or inside one of the terminals, where there's often at least a dozen standing around waiting.

If I was a mistrusting sort of person... which obviously I'm not... I might be thinking to myself, what would I do if I was working for the Law Commission, and I was trying to find out the private hire drivers point of view... because as we all know if the private hire driver speaks up... he's usually out of a job.....

So, Could anyone please tell me whats wrong about AL drivers or what's wrong with AL as a company?

The way I look at AL drivers are:

- Professional
- Always smiling
- Clean Vehicles always
- Smart uniformed
- Always have their badge displayed
- Presentable
- and with this, I am sure their customers get a very excellent customer service

The way I look at AL as a company:

- The boss behind this is clued on, knows what his goals and targets are
- AL is a successful company, that every PH firm try to aim for at their level

Trick of business and useful tool to know:

When your business is large, highly respected by majority of your customers... no one can [edited by admin] with it for example just think about the list of companies below:

- Tesco, no one can [edited by admin] with, big giant company clued on know the game inside out
- Addison Lee, name me a firm who could destroy them? exactly, no one can [edited by admin] with em
- Argos

and so on...

These are business people, not your average joe off the rank who doesnt know nothing about business.. All he knows is to turn the meter on, get to the destination (if that! many drivers need a satnav, bring back the old days Maps and Excellent local knowledge. New drivers are not clued on and lazy to use a map) and to expect a tip from each customer.

Correct me if I am wrong, not trying to start an argument, just stating the facts

Because its a successful organisation

What I have noticed, you guys are taxi drivers and not educated to know other things of how a business minded person thinks alike.

business people aim to provide goods and services involving financial and commercial and industrial aspects, where as I keep stating taxi drivers just think about the financial aspect.

It's success is built on exploiting people and bribing politicians. I take it you have no problem with ethics?
