well i drove 140 miles to deliver a bonnet to our lad in Brean cos he had a motorway bump and later his flew south for the summer, gaffer tape held it on and he drove home today. I enjoyed the 4 hour traffic jams, well what else could i possibly have wanted to do

his elephant.co.uk breakdown service refused to get him home as "its too far"...fecking diddums

I was - of course - within UK driver hours, 4 hrs and a break and 2.5 hrs back, then off all week....

I shall be having harsh words with the "service" (cough) about not attending a vehicle in an undriveable state, on a motorway, with a 3 year old child passenger and unrepairable at a local garage

in fact i smell compensation wafting in.....

Didn't manage all of them though!

Ryde Taxis, very prompt and polite service, well done to them.

his car is "BER" but was taxed/tested/insured and he drove it 140 miles home

(beyond economical repair)

It cost him £3K in November

i told him NOT to let the repair/estimate/garage collect it for estimates, it didnt need to go anywhere for that

i took the wife to thedentists, when we got home he had told em to fetch it

NOW it seems, with a £400 excess and a elepant wanting all his outstanding insurance (paying monthly) settled (£600) he may end up with nothing (or owing them!) whereas id got interest on ebay for it at a grand, no more advice from dad now, hes on his own

so much for having fully comp insurance

Fetched a family back from Skeggy easy enough start

Then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sat in heavy traffic jams trying to get people into the burghley horse trials ! I really do hate Burghley week !

Then went out to a farm in the middle of Nowhere to pick up 8 passengers coming into town because it's Burghley first off they put it back 45 minutes because they got stuck getting out of Burghley
and after turning down 2 more 8 seater jobs turned up to find there were only 4 passengers

will be interesting to see what happens with the 22.30 job they've rung up and changed it 7 times so far now apparently 14 passengers (8 + 6 ) whats the betting two vehicles will turn up to find just 8 passengers !
