Same round here mate, they won't quote you for a job unless it's £250 minimum and done in a day. A mate of mine who's done a few jobs for me has been a spread for the best part of 20 years, he's never off work sometimes doing 7 days a week.

i will get back to you on this and show you what a load of bo11oxs it is.

Mate he's that busy he's taking an apprentice on.

as some of you will be aware i am a plasterer of 35 years who bought shares and ph vehicle on the largest company in sunny blackpool some 13 months ago.here are some thoughts.

1- what an incredibly stressfull job.

2-what an incredibly demanding job.

3-what an incredibly expensive job.

4-what an incredibly dangerous job.

5-what an incredibly responsible job.

6-what an incredibly under respected job.

directors who are in it for themselves who very rarely work the streets have 2 or 3 holidays a year and seem to think they re are above you .dont tell me to stand against them they have all the proxy votes from the bumspiders.

how hard working and professional some of the drivers are.

how nice most of the customers are.

i like the job but as a father of 2 young boys the hours are brutal and to be honest make the job not worth it and if i can sell i will preferably in the new year.

i have total respect for all you guys what a tough tough profession.

Just about sums it up.

You make a good point Mr tangarinearmy, especially when you consider the locals in Croydon tried to burn the place down last year.

Shame they didn't make it as far as Sh**hurst Park

Sound like bitter men who are [edited by admin] spreads, when you get someone who's been doing the job for 20+ years and is never out of work against an Internet plasterers forum where spreads are saying "work is dead" who would you believe?
