The great shame is that instead of letting the truth out and learning from mistakes they covered it up. it could happen again and that would be unforgiveable

They don't mention the thousands of fans who turned up p!ssed and without tickets trying to force open the Leppings Lane end gates leaving the Police with no option but to open the gates.

Oh dear, oh deary me!!

The police should have been there early, organised and pro-active to prevent it happening, instead of reacting.

Listening to what was being said on radio 5 live today drink was far less of a factor than originally stated. As Brummie says prevention is better than reaction in any walk of life preperation goes a long way towards preventing problems occurring

as someone who went to many games in the 80s you can kind of understand why the cops bottled it.
what ism unforgivable is the cover up and the shifting of blame.
hopefully they rest in peace coz there but for the grace of god go i

Yes, it's all the authorities fault, it always is.

I've NEVER seen a pizzed football fan riot, destroy town centres, cave each others heads in, riot abroad, riot at home, kill each other, tear up seats, scream abuse, torch pubs . . .

They're always so passive.

Those damned police officers and ambulance staff, [edited by admin] the lot of them.

It's all their fault.

They caused the recession too didn't you know.

Yes I agree, not one fan that day done anything wrong, all angels, all sober, not a swear word between them, not one pushed into the game.

Damned police and ambulance.

They should all be shot.

If you knew anything about the way the family's feel... you would know they don't blame the ordinary Bobby that was at the match.. they don't blame the ambulance crews.... they suffered as much as the fans... but they do blame the ones that lied.. the ones in a higher position...

Oh no Trevor, it's THE POLICE and THE AMBULANCE SERVICE the relatives representatives were talking about in the main news programmes tonight, not the fans who rushed in, or the blokes like Duckenfield who made the order.

Perhaps the relatives representatives and their expensive legal reps might phrase it better, but that wouldn't make headlines.

Bit like the hundreds of thousands who have been killed on our roads since hillsborough without any real headlines.

You obviously didn't see the mother of one14 year old child, speaking to the woman police officer who held him in her arms as he died....

With that bottomless pit of manpower they had?

You'd probably keel over in shock if you knew how many officers were covering the whole of Birmingham tonight.

And it's going down further, incidents like Hillsborough will probably pale into insignificance in the future when a massive sporting event / civil disturbance really kicks off.

There's no one left.

Vote Tory.
