a week last sunday night picked a woman up from a pub and took her home her card payment was declined.she told me she would pay tomorrow, anyway after many lies it arrived to yesterday where she said she would drop it in the office,i asked the office at 6 pm and ofcourse no payment was there.i texted her and she claims to have given it to one of our female bomber drivers outside an off licence who had blonde hair.she has no receipt ,no name and no regestration number and will not answer my calls and texted me being rude telling me she has paid and stop bothering her.

the office manager says we did nt have a blonde haired bomber driver working yesterday only a grey haired lady who he says came in the office but didnt leave any money he will call her today incase she forgot.

this has got on my t1ts .

text her - you have her name/address and will be speaking to the police in 24hrs if the money isnt placed in YOUR hands, end of

a CCJ is £25 so only a last resort

maybe best for the base to refuse jobs to/from her address and in her name, and circulate to other bases...

she may decide to cough up

If the card payment was declined then will the card company/machine processor have her details, the decline must be logged somewhere ?

The police could use this to trace her as long as a)the card wasn't stolen and b)they could be bothered over the sake of £7.

Bite the bullet and accept the loss...If you don't it'll just gnaw away at you for ages, £7 pounds just not worth the grief.

I have had to write off a £25 fare in similar circumstances and a £150 fare

The amount of time and effort involved is just not worth it

Can you get all the firms to blank her address?

If not then you either carry on being a pain in the bum to her, or you write it off.

Only you can decide.

I suspect many would resort to the brick in the window, so you have chosen the best way.
