Shepway/Folkestone £305 for the car per year, ops licence about the same, driver £185, CRB £42....the sheep round here don't use cabs very often, nor does anyone else. Shepway licencing committee must live in the lively part of Folkestone called London.

We dont have an Operators licence Skip....Its £82.00 for a Drivers Licence and then a Vehicle Licence of approx £182.00 per year for each vehicle we own.

And My Disclosures now replaced with a PVG as I do School runs and that is subsidised to the tune 50% and cost me around £29.00 each for me and SWMBO (£58)

Add to that a D4 Medical that varies in price..lets say another £50 quid each.

Oh..and a £20.00 Plates Deposit. (though that was years ago)

That amounts to £182 + £82 + £29 + £50 +20 + £363 for year one Then around £264 per year after that for one car and one driver.

The Captain did the lot 30 months ago.

If you want your surrounding area fees then check their websites.

Without looking B&H vehicle fees are about £150 a year and driver's badges about £50.

Oh yes we do, the wording will be on one of the docs you received from ivory towers, something like vehicle operators

It reads " A private hire car operator licence is required for running a vehicle for hire by advance bookings. Private hire cars cannot be hailed in the street. "

But that in reality is for the Vehicle, Ive two Vehicles so I pay that twice, Had I had 4 cars I would have needed a Booking office Licence as well at £200 for 3 years..

Drivers License (HC or PH)

New applicant £85
Renewal £58

If you go straight for an HC badge you will get a dual purpose badge for the same cost. If you start PH then want to upgrade to HC it is £30 but then you again get dual badge.

Then plus usual CRB/medical/DSA Assessment

Vehicle

£138 new or renewal plus cost of MOT

Operators License for PH

1-5 vehicles £68
6+ £115
