well, funny you should say that

consider that it may be a ltd company, the directors could pay themselves £100 a week PAYE and claim WFTC, HB, etc, etc, all 100% legally

you only need to know the law

I think to claim benefits you need to declare ALL income not just what you get paid

If the drivers had half a brain, they'd be claiming Working Tax Credit as well.

and housing benefit..........

That's not the bloody point is it ffs. Drivers shouldn't have to be claiming benefits when they're throwing the hours in these guys do. I don't work for this firm and always vowed I'd jack it in before I ever had to. I do pick punters up who say they've rang Satellite first but couldn't get any answer. With over 300 drivers paying £103 per week one begs the question why the customers can't get an answer.

Answers for the above,
1. vvank office staff.

2. To much feeding from the office.

3. Greedy owners who don't give a fuck.

Yes, you "should" declare ALL income to get WTC/HB, not forgetting council tax rebate if you're on low income.

"paid" being a relevant term, why do you think accountants get well paid?

I think that the LC should be informed that any new rules should include that any company, PH / hack, requiring a driver will employ them
Email sent :D

ok i know your a female and some times things outside of making cups of tea, peeling carrots and having children are some what difficult for you to fathom but do try dear it realy isn`t that difficult. may i be so bold as to suggest that if you continue to have difficulty with this subject you consult miss sue le taxi ball she has more time on her hands than i and as she is a supperior example of what you can be (as a female) she will undoubtedly explane the concept of earning more money via return journeys to you in a way that will become most clear to you. at times in birkenhead, hoylake, heswall and west kirby and i`m sure other places there are times when the demand for taxis out weighs the supply there fore if one was lucky enough to become light in such an area and the playing field was levelled ie all badged drivers could pick up when flagged down there would be as a result an "increase in revenue" over and above the current legislation that does not permit us private hire drivers to do so legally (although i have heard of drivers who flout this law although i think that story was spread by disgruntled hack drivers who over paid for there vehicles). i was not aware that your expertise covered the insurance industry as well as my chronological callender however if it was as in depth as you believe it to be you would know that many, many, many factors influence your insurance premium some of which being the level and type and cost of crime in the area where you live and work not only based on "what accidents happened",so far your arguments, or blinkered views are not holding water. given the straight forward choice of being able to earn more by picking up flaggers or not earning 1p more under the current laws which one do you think the 1200 plus badged drivers would choose.you say we had "de-restriction", most of the drivers i know do not find themselfs restricted in practice, maybe by law but never by deed. i was driving taxis in 1985 i wasn`t restricted then and i`m not now as i previoulsy said i do what i have to do to make a shilling as do most other taxi drivers if they where being honest including your precious hack drivers. all we are here to do is make a living without favouritism. i do not moan, what makes you think that I "dont have access to flaggers" what a load of bollocks, even when iv`e been shopping with my family and not working i have had people try to get into my car, no access to flaggers thats a good one i will remember to call you as my expert witness if the licensing where ever cleaver enough to catch me picking up flaggers or better still if i was to commit such a treasonous crime. obviously i would do no such thing as your argument stated i am restricted arn`t i.your argument about wav`s is no better. do you realy think that the drivers that drive these expensivlely modified vehicles do so because they want to help diabled people get from a-b ( which maybe some did for family reasons) or do you think they could increase there income by transporting wheel chairs. if we where all the same there would be wavs, cars, hacks and estates on the ranks giving the public all the choice they need whereas now it is hack only which is crap. i fear not cross border hirings as if any one wants to come to birkenhead and pick that [edited by admin] up "good luck to them i say!" now enough of this taxi bollox i`m off to think more about down loading, pirateing and other restricted practisses that i am restricted from doing. oh and by the way naive moi!! ha ha

I must try harder   Tbh when you have people like this in the trade who openly think it's ok to pirate and don't see the need for WAVs and call taxi drivers idiots for investing in the required vehicles to do the job it's little wonder that the likes of the LC think the way they do. Anyway I'm have to chain myself to sink seeing as I'm clearly not safe to be let out of the kitchen
