First of all hi to everyone on here
Im currently working in Wigan as a private hire taxi but im looking to move to Frodsham , Cheshire in the next 12 months , it seems a bit quiet in Frodsham and I only work nights so I was thinking it would be better to try and get Cheshire West and Chester licence that will allow me to work in Chester seeing as it its not too far away , should this be okay to do

Thanks

Why not get a license for the area you want to work in?

I would mate but I dont think it will be busy on a night , I can only work nights at the moment and seeing that Chester is only about 9 miles away from where id be living it would seem the best option as I still need to roughly earn what im earning in Wigan at the moment

If you want to work in Chester then get a license for that area, where you live matters not.

Seeing as Frodsham and Chester are licensed by the same council (Cheshire West and Chester) I don't see what your problem is, as long as you want to continue on private hire. If you want to become a Chester Hackney driver then you will have to sit a seperate council Knowledge test specifically for Chester as well as the usual NVQ course.
