Got quite a shock today needed 2 new tyres on the vehicle so booked it into my usual tyre place having ordered 2 of the Firestone tyres I normally put on the vehicle last time they only had cheapies which lasted hardly any time at all now I know tyres have gone up a bit this time last year I was paying £75 a tyre and was told last time when I had to have cheapies because the usual were unavailable that they had gone up to about £90 a tyre

todays price £119 a tyre !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     which even with a little discout still worked out at £219 for 2 tyres

Thats 46% increase in a year

My last one was £75 a couple of weeks ago but on my other pug they used to cost £145 cos of the size. Get about 30, 000 out of the front tyres so it's not that bad imo

Makes me p!ss when oil companies anchor an oil tanker full of Crude Oil off shore if the price is to low when they are ready for docking. When the price goes up they'll land that Crude Oil at the higher price. Fecking robbing barstewards isn't the word.

At what point is the price per barrel fixed? I would have thought that it was way before it gets to our shores.
