I often have found that items have been lifted from my taxi. Left behind brollies or phones for example. I have lost pens and a cigarette lighter in recent times, but tonight someone has taken a rubber mat from the rear footwell. Has anyone else had one taken? Is this a new trend amongst the young (in the vein of VW badges, grolsh bottle tops etc)? Perhaps he/she was short of one for his/her car, who (besides him/her) knows? All I know is I'm the first victim that I know of. Unless one of you preceed me.

I have not had that one. I have had the CD cassette taken from the multi-changer in the back of my Galaxy.

I've had rubber mats go on several occasions. I only use cheap ones now.

I have had all the mats taken by a gang of lads who disappeared into their house with them the police reaction don't bother us also last year a headrest from one of the rear seats in the zafira went missing ! I have also in the past had someone try and rip out a radio speaker destroying it in the process ! and a good few years ago on a sunday morning a passenger found a small packet with white powder in down the side of the seat and promptly pocketed it !

I got so fed up with people nicking gear when I was cabbing, this is what I did leading up to christmas one year.

I bought my mum some expensive perfume, I very very carefully unwrapped the cellophane and openend box and removed the bottle of perfume.

I then did a big sh*t onto some cling film and placed the sh*t into perfume box, re sealed the cellophane and wrapped it up with wrapping paper. The weight was about the same as original bottle.

I then placed perfume in map pocket behind my seat before I started on a friday. By end of shift it was gone.

I only hope some bar steward unwrapped the wrapping paper, saw it was a nice perfume and re wrapped it and gave it to his wife/mum/girlfriend.
Would love to of been there to see it being un wrapped xmas day!!! :D

Rambo sh*t into some clingfilm? jeez now thats a confession.

sadly I dislike all taxi customers with a passion - if theyre going a short distance and want to chat I either grunt or completely disagree with them - one of those cnuts nicked a denim jacket of mine out of an estate car whilst my mate was working for me in 1988 - with a little luck they will be dead now - as will their entire families.
