On saturday morning i went to slough station to pick up a friend and i was shoked on how many taxis where parked on rank about 10 parked at the front another 12-13 queing in the car park and another 15-20 double parked near a bay just near the station.
Was waiting just over an houre as friends train was delayed and in my time waiting there only 6 cabs left with a passenger :-/
Is slough deregulated?

Yes. But if only six punters came from the train in an hour does it matter? :?

You obviously left school early ? Simple maths ,if 10 cabs wait on a rank for 6 jobs or 50 cabs wait for 6 jobs which get more fares ?

Our only rank is outside a train station, but across a road, as a prebooked PH I often pull up and wait by the station front door, and suffer the slings and arrows of the hacks with no job.....PMSL..... good job looks cant kill

Trots, give it up, you wont beat me lad, admit defeat.....go back to carpet licking, or was it windows?

Didnt know you could 'quote'unless you are leaving your area or are you confusing hackney and ph again ? Still a flawed argument for deregulation, more cabs = less fares even you can work that one out

Anyone can quote for anything, a HC must start the meter from pickup IF IN THEIR OWN LA, but can charge less if that was the deal.....a PH can quote anytime/any trip
