We have £70 soiling charge on the tariff sheet, soon to be £75

Do you reckon you'd be able to get anyone to cough up that kind of charge? In Glasgow it's £20.00 and it hard enough getting that out of them. And what happens if they don't pay?? Do you keep them prisoner in your cab?

If they refuse its to the nearest police station, or just call them and they come out, and its sorted

I've put it down to experience. It's the first time in years I've been as soft as that but, given his mate paid up front because he had no money, what were my chances of recompense? I left him not knowing where he was so I have the gratitude of thinking it may have been a liitle while before he finally got home. It would have been enough to sober him up and give him something to think about.

I had been on a goodwill high all week following a fantastic charity weekend the previous week and then a week of hospital appointments that advanced my 'recovery' in leaps and bounds. It was my own stupid fault!!!
