A company called Taxiquoter rang me today trying to flog work. Anyone had any experiences good or bad?

Don't be Suckered by these types, Im sure this lot trade under several aliases as their websites all look alike, keep your money in your pocket.

Thanks for that. I was also wondering about the legality of such companies. Should they not have an operators licence?

In that case they could only give work to companies from the same council. Correct?

correct, they'd have to have an operators license for every licensing authority in the UK, unless they were based in London or Scotland?

Is that trafford borough?

If so they cannot pass bookings across district borders under current law.

One more thing to add. Not once did they ask about licenses/insurance/CRB, when I queried this they said that wasn't their responsibility.
