Roy time2taxi are blinded by numbers and percentages, thats all it is, there is no care about customer service or reliabilty, many have said they wont use it during busy times, thats where it all falls apart, the APP can only work as part of an existing radio company and we are well established, we even have all the drivers to cover the work during busy periods, its also against both companies rules to accept work from a third party, the minute customers during busy periods in Edinburgh realise how unreliable an APP not connected to an existing radio company is the customer will go else where, your APP booking system is illegal under Scottish Booking office licence regulation, check it out, captain cab has started a thread on the general thread page concerning APP booking, i think being asked to work the Edinburgh area you have been dealt a bad hand, you may be providing competition to the PH trade but you are also up against 2 big co-operatives who have all the APP users in Edinburgh signed up, no complaints so far and the customer has the back up of the APP as a part of an existing radio company.
I can see the whole idea as nothing to worry about for the Edinburgh trade but worryingly i see the signing up of drivers a major issue for you and hey Gauranteeing the drivers that sign up will be real cabbies is going to take a lot of man hours and you need co-operation from the city council licencing department.
On you go but be sure to pass on whats being said here
