they swim very well, cook, hot oven at 20mins per lb, plus a day.....will take a few packets of Paxo though

Must admit I haven't encountered any deer of late ( apart from the Burghley herd) must be nearly 2 months since I last came across any

At least your encounter was in daylight stags can take great exception to bright headlights especially muntjack !

This is a managed herd bred for meat..., but Mr Stag was a big boy, his 30 or 40 strong herd were not far away








I could crack the "was offered 8 legs of venison for £50 but it was too dear" joke i suppose...

I saw one a couple of days ago. It ran accross the road in front of a car. It was about 100 yards in front of me but I still hit the brakes.

Muntjack are only the size of a lurcher, this big boy was the size of a cow, hit him at 50mph and youd have no car left

I killed his sisters 2 years ago, hit them both at once, dont know how the hell there was no damage to the car, or how they did not come through the screen, fecking needed a change of skiddys after

I did see one as big as that,leaped across the road in front of my cab.As big as a cow.nowhere near any herds!.Got in touch with local wildlife ppl and they said there are a few wild ones nocking about,which suprised me.
