Your problem here in bpool mate is getting the regular punters away from what they use allready. I presume you work for ccabs by the sound of it ? Your biggest competion is premier who rely on hevy discounts. We have the app on the streets and believe me its hard to take new customers on.Trouble here is theres not too many disatisfied punters, you dont struggle for a cab any time of the day or night. Good luck

price mate its a recession.premier have took loads of work off everybody by being 30p cheaper ffs.

How much is the settle from circuits there? What if any are the benefits for drivers?

blackpool is now a very poor town and money is scarce, taxis are a luxury in general especially at the prices we charge.1 company here is allegedly slightly cheaper ie 30p on the start meter and no tarriff 3 and believe me hes getting a lot of work.we have to be expensive coz we sit around far too much.we could drop our prices and earn a lot more money in my opinion.the other company would struggle to beat us as his fees for drivers are twice as much and if he tried to match us would have a mutiny on his hands.

i know it wouldnt happen but we should do £1.90 meter start tarriff 1 24hrs 7 days a week 365 days a year.we would be over run with work we wud earn more our shares would be worth a lot more as everyone wud want to work for us.the problem is the drivers on our company cant see the trees for the woods.

we also have alot of hackneys and they wouldnt agree to the prices i have suggested BUT those prices are for prebooked jobs not rank.

All this explains nothing. What shares? How much settle do you pay? Who sets the prices? What is the current tariff for ph and taxis? Are they the same? It's all very confusing in so far as you talk about 'his' fees and shares at the same time. To be I wouldn't have flag of £1.90 either I don't think it's necessary

There is a good case for lowering fares if you can get enough new work.

Would you rather do two £6 jobs an hour, or four £5 jobs?

Get it right and you are on a winner, but it ain't guaranteed.
