Last years wasn't brilliant but this years well  loads of cancellations last minute and I cannot believe that we had hardly anything in after 8 pm  I've given up already left the other 2 to it we had 8 phone calls at 8pm all wanting immediate taxis then the phone has rung once since and only 2 jobs pre booked after 8 and it wasn't even flat out between 5 and 8 like it normally is mind you every driver has had a booking over £50 so at least thats one thing here's hoping tommorrow is better

Family Day from 12-7ish and out from 8-1am. Was informed by office it had been manic all day, but had quietened now. It wasn't quiet for long. I ranked for a total of 15 mins in 5 hrs. Good shift, decent hires, good folk all night. Bit of a wish list come true

Are you all sitting comfortably?/, then I will begin
Started at 1 PM worked til 5.30 PM 14 hires, £112, then diner time with the family.
Came back out at 7 PM was going like a fiddler elbow til 8 PM when I went 6 miles for a run only to find out that the fecking punters had ordered 6 cabs just to make sure they got one did not get the hire but on the way there had turned a £20 job down because I thought I had that one to do.
so went back into town for more phone work, kept busy until I came home at 11.45 PM 32 jobs done
, but takings down for last year just over £412, but tips where bloody good.
The thing this year was no buses running, and no pubs or clubs open so folk did not go out.
Just see what tomorrow brings hopefully it will be as good as last year
Then its off to Plymouth, until Sunday

Are you all sitting comfortably?/, then I will begin
Started at 1 PM worked til 5.30 PM 4 hires, £12, then diner time with the family.
Came back out at 7 PM was going like a fiddler elbow til 8 PM when I went 6 miles for a run only to find out that the fecking punters had ordered 6 cabs just to make sure they got one did not get the hire but on the way there had turned a £2 job down because I thought I had that one to do.
so went back into town for more phone work, kept busy until I came home at 11.45 PM 3 jobs done
, but takings down for last year just over £41.25, but tips where bloody awful.
The thing this year was no buses running, and no pubs or clubs open so folk did not go out.
Just see what tomorrow brings hopefully it will be as good as last year
Then its off to Plymouth, until Sunday (cross border bookings)

sounds more like it

today is turning out to be very disappointing had to turn down a Heathrow for this afternoon because i had about £150 worth of wheelchair jobs in now after cancellations down to £30 of wheelchair jobs

Managed £39 so far today rank is full of taxis and not moving almost all shops closed and very few folk about I assume they've all gone to Peterborough or Leicester for the sales so starting to look as if I will be down by between a third and a half on last year
